RUTH PICKETT
Ruth Pickett took a somewhat unconventional journey into filmmaking, beginning as a comedy writer/performer before progressing into making films.
Growing up in Yorkshire, she went on to attend Cambridge University, where she was a regular with the student comedy group, the Cambridge Footlights. After this, Ruth made an online comedy series 'Printfriends' for Fremantle Media which was nominated for an Emmy award, and then successfully crowdfunded, wrote and directed a number of award-winning shorts. Most recently she directed 'Transaction,’ a six part webseries for Comedy Central.
